Sergio Pascolo, architect and urban planner. Graduating from the University of Venice (IUAV) in 1984, Pascolo collaborated with Vittorio Gregotti in Milan from 1984 to 1993, during which time he founded his own office, Sergio Pascolo Architects. Among other projects, Pascolo led the design team Gregotti Associati-Manuel Salgado in Lisbon (1990-1991) for the Centro Cultural de Belém. From 1993 through 1996 he worked and lived in Hamburg, where he was a member of the Bund Deutscher Architekten. For all of his professional activities and projects, Pascolo carries out comprehensive research, integrating plans for sustainable architecture with the development of cities. He focuses on housing and urban innovation, identifying changes in living and working conditions as well as in mobility. He investigates these themes while participating in practical, theoretical and experimental projects, international competitions and teaching. An exhibition of his projects was held in 1996 at the Italian Cultural Institute of Hamburg. In 1997 he moved back to Italy, continuing his design work in Milan, and then from 2006 in Venice, where he currently lives and work. While serving as a visiting professor of Architecture and Urban Design, first at Politecnico of Turin and now at IUAV of Venice, Pascolo regularly participates in international seminars, workshops, conferences and lectures in cities throughout Italy and Europe, among others Milan, Florence, Naples, London, Jourmala and recently Bremen, Parma, Palermo, Rome, Munich, Hanover. Since 2012 Pascolo serves as a member of the Advisory Council for Building Culture and Landscape of the Autonome Provinz Bozen.

SERGIO PASCOLO ARCHITECTS is an international architectural and urban design studio focused to create highly comfortable buildings and urban spaces with a positive impact on the quality of life for the inhabitants and citizens minimizing unnecessary resource use and costs. We are architects and urban planner, we provide visions and ideas, as well as preliminary and details plans for masterplans, buildings and interiors. We think through design how to transform the physical spaces in a better way for a better life. The main team of architects works in the venetian office, a network of professional freelances works with us on-line, other collaborators and partners works on site of the different international projects.

WHERE WE ARE

Milan was the starting point, Lisbon and Hamburg followed and since 2006 we are based in Venice. In an open space that was the office of the famous venetian master of architecture Carlo Scarpa, our studio is located on the ground floor in Rio Marin in the very center of the city of Venice. Our worktables are facing the water of the channel on one side and the green of the garden in the courtyard. The glass entrance door keep us ever in contact with the urban life outside, giving us continually the impulse to think with a human approach our urban and architectural design proposal.

WHAT WE DO

We understand our work as makeovers of spaces for the human life. For this reasons we are used to work on different scale, landscape, urban, building and interior as interrelated parts of our habitat. On the urban scale the challenge ahead of us entails a deep rethinking of the city as based on new paradigms, putting respect for the environment and the quality of life at the focus of its design and management practices. As a source of valuable teachings for the definition of human-scale urban life based on sustainable paces and rhythms, we promote through our design a connective city as a patchwork of new pedestrian districts, with a low environmental impact, with an inclusive social pattern and a low-consumption quality of life. In the planning process we constantly pay attention to the role that every new building we are designing plays in the context, looking forward to make livable urban spaces creating new ensembles together with the existing. On the architectural scale we are continuously developing new forms and looking for innovative concepts, considering light, wind, sun and shadow for their energy effect but also for the quality and the atmosphere of the spaces indoor and outdoor. Our design is focused to find suitable solution and to give proper responses to needs, either looking for an expressive shape as well as optimizing the space with detailed and very precise dimensioning of every part and every element.

WHAT WE OFER / HOW WE WORK

We begin every design process with understanding the needs, the context, the opportunity and the resources. On the basis of this knowledge we formulate concepts based on the complex interdependence of all these factors. Our holistic approach explores all those aspects in term of alternative options considering as the main goal of our work the finding of the balance in a design strategy responding to their complexity and to their variation in time and space. For the concept phase we work together with energy and climate engineers, afterwards we build for each projects a teamwork joining our team with landscape architects, structural and plant engineers as well as light and acoustic designer. Networking with colleagues and students in research and with stakeholders and clients in development keeps us abreast of new ideas and continually inspires us to improve.

With more than 1000 members from all areas of planning, constructing, operating, and using buildings, we support the Foundation’s work as a non-profit Friends’ Association. We are the point of contact for everyone interested in Baukultur who seeks to link together projects, stakeholders, and the Foundation’s activities.

A Green Building Council (GBC) is national non-profit, non-government organization that is part of a global network recognized by the World Green Building Council. GBCs are “transparent, consensus-based, not-for-profit coalition-based organizations with no private ownership and diverse and integrated representation from all sectors of the property industry;” and their overarching goal is promote a transformation of the built environment towards one that is sustainable (buildings and cities that are environmentally sensitive, economically viable, socially just and culturally significant).

LifeGate is based in Italy, where it has been the leading point of reference for sustainable development since 2000. A cohesive and expanding group of people, brought together by passion and the desire to contribute to shaping a better world, has built a company unique in the world.

Italia Nostra is an association for the protection of cultural, artistic and natural heritage.
Born in Rome in 1955 and recognized by presidential decree in 1958,
it is one of the oldest Italian environmental associations.

Sergio Pascolo is member of oappc, Udine, with number 664 since 1984.

SOHOS Social Housing Service is a partnership between professionals with specific expertise in the field of urban and architectural design, in the implementation of social and economic policy analysis – financial and legal advice. The goal of SOHOS is to offer advice for an integrated project in order to implement SOCIAL HOUSING processes intended as interventions for living at affordable cost but also measures for workplaces and buildings with particular social value.

WHAT WE OFFER

SOHOS offers an integrated planning for the development of projects of social housing from feasibility study to the details project, construction management and operational start-up.
The urban and architectural project proposes innovative solutions for living spaces, from the house to the public space, from the concept to detailed design up to construction supervision.
Particular attention is given to the functionality of the spaces in relation to the category of users, to common areas to improve quality of living and energy efficiency of buildings.
The social project is integrated in the overall process with the preliminary analysis to identify the needs of the social background, the activation of relations with stakeholders, and supporting the social activities manager.

The financial project: the analysis of the construction costs and operating costs will be the basis for the preparation of business plans. Sohos proposes financing models and related financial statements for the activation of social housing processes.

ALESSANDRO BOLDO

Laureato in architettura allo I.U.A.V. di Venezia con Luciano Semerani, si specializza in Environmental planning conseguendo il Master in Valutazione e Territorio con Maria Rosa Vittadini. Ha conseguito il dottorato di ricerca presso il Dipartimento Economia Istituzioni e Territorio dell’Università degli Studi di Ferrara, ha fatto ricerca presso il Dipartimento di Geografia e dell’Ambiente dell’Università di Ginevra. Come consulente e ricercatore conduce progetti sulle politiche per la sostenibilità, sui processi governance ambientale e sulle pratiche di capacity building per l’innovazione ad alto valore sociale.

SERGIO PASCOLO

Architetto e urbanista, insegna dal 2005 Composizione Architettonica ed urbana all’Università Iuav di Venezia e al Politecnico di Torino dal 2003 al 2005. Membro del Comitato Provinciale per la Cultura Architettonica e il Paesaggio della Provincia Autonoma di Bolzano – Triennio 2012-2015 – 2015-2017. Membro del BDA Hamburg Bund Deutsche Architekten dal 1994 al 1997. Membro della Hamburger Architektenkammer dal 1994 al 1997. Ha tenuto conferenze e lezioni nelle Università di Parma, Palermo, Trieste, Milano, Firenze, Enna, Napoli, Innsbruck, München. Recentemente nominato dal il German Design Council per il German Design Award 2017, Vincitore del Premio di Architettura “Architekurpreis Zukunft Wohnen 2009” (Abitare del Futuro 2009) Selezionato nei Premi di architettura “Premio Europeo Ugo Rivolta 2009”, Dedalo Minosse 2007-2008, Piranesi International Prize 2006, Europäische Kalksandsteinpreis 2005, Deutsche Architektur Preis 2005, Bauwelt Preis 2005, Piranesi International Prize 2003. Laureato in Architettura a Venezia all’Università Iuav con relatore Vittorio Gregotti. Iscritto all’Ordine degli Architetti della Provincia di Udine dal 1984. Ha collaborato con lo Studio Gregotti dal 1984 al 1993 dove ha elaborato come leader del team di progettazione grandi progetti urbani in Italia e all’estero. Titolare dello studio SERGIO PASCOLO ARCHITECTS con sede inizialmete a Milano, successivamente ad Amburgo e, dal 2006, a Venezia. L’attività dello studio si estende dal progetto strategico, al progetto urbano, alla progettazione architettonica di edifici pubblici e residenziali, di interni, arredi ed oggetti di design. L’attenzione alla sostenibilità nella sua complessità, ambientale, urbana, economica e sociale, guida lo studio sia nella concezione dei progetti che nella realizzazione delle opere. La ricerca di una rigorosa interpretazione delle risorse, materiali, spaziali ed espressive, è intesa come ricerca di coerenza per perseguire soluzioni innovative, appropriate ed essenziali. Lo studio opera a livello internazionale con progetti e realizzazioni in Italia, in Europa e in Asia; attualmente sta curando diversi progetti di edifici e di quartieri residenziali in Germania. I progetti e le opere realizzate sono state pubblicate in diverse riviste e libri di architettura contemporanea italiani ed internazionali.

GIANLUCA PELLOIA

Gianluca Pelloia si laurea presso lo IUAV di Venezia nel 1996, dal 1998 svolge la professione di architetto come libero professionista e apre il proprio studio a Castelfranco Veneto. All’interno dell’attività dello studio sono stati affrontati temi relativi alla progettazione e al recupero di aree soggette a edilizia popolare e convenzionata . Ha partecipato alla redazione di progetti per i bandi della Regione Veneto “Contratto di Quartiere ” ; con l’arch Pierclaudio Bongiana ha progetto e diretto i lavori del Piano di Recupero del quartiere di proprietà AEEP ( Azienda per l’edilizia economica e Popolare )di Via Marsala a Castelfranco Veneto, selezionato per il Premio Piccinato per l’urbanistica nel 2006 , comprendente opere di urbanizzazione, la progettazione di alloggi convenzionati e la realizzazione di un edificio pubblico di quartiere. Per il Comune di Resana in accordo con AEEP di Castelfranco Veneto ha svolto la consulenza per la progettazione architettonica di un edificio per residenze convenzionate ed ufficio postale . Ha progettato l’ampliamento della Caserma dei Carabinieri del Comune di Riese Pio X per la realizzazione di nuovi alloggi su incarico congiunto dell’ATER di Treviso e Comune di Riese PIO X. Ha svolto incarichi pubblici per la progettazione e direzione lavori di spazi aperti , piazze e giardini nei comuni di Roncade e Castelfranco Veneto. La sua attività professionale ha visto vari interventi nei luoghi di lavori, dagli edifici direzionali a quelli industriali. Con l’Associazione Architetti della Castellana , in qualità di presidente, ha organizzato nel 2010 la rassegna “ABITIAMO”dedicata all’analisi dei processi di social-housing.

GASPARE GASPARINI

Gaspare vanta più di 10 anni d’esperienza nel settore delle banche d’investimento e dei mercati dei capitali. Laureato nel 2000 presso l’Università Commerciale L. Bocconi di Milano, Gaspare ha cominciato la sua carriera presso Finanziaria Internazionale a Conegliano (dal 2000 al 2003) occupandosi di finanza strutturata, per poi passare poi a Crédit Agricole presso gli uffici della Direzione di Milano (dal 2003 al 2005) nel team che si occupa delle cartolarizzazioni dei crediti. Nel 2005 è approdato a San Paolo (oggi IntesaSanPaolo) nella Direzione Centrale di Torino all’Asset & Liabilities Management come responsabile delle cartolarizzazioni del gruppo. Nel 2008 Gaspare è stato assunto al Fondo Europeo per gli Investimenti in Lussemburgo nel team di “Guarantee & Securitisation” con il ruolo di Structured Finance Manager. Dal 2013 è ritornato in Italia dove si occupa di consulenza finanziaria per le aziende che cercano di reperire nuovi capitali tramite operazioni di finanza strutturata o fondi di garanzia.

RAFFAELLA FRESCHI

Laureata in architettura allo I.U.A.V., ottiene il corso post-lauream in Azione Locale e partecipata presso lo IUAV ed il Master di II livello in programmazione di ambienti urbani sostenibili. Ha conseguito il dottorato di ricerca in Pianificazione e politiche pubbliche per il Territorio all’Università IUAV di Venezia con Pierluigi Crosta; si occupa di trasformazioni e conflitti socio-ambientali con particolare attenzione ai molteplici risvolti che interessano le politiche nelle sue varie forme e articolazioni sociali e territoriali.

LUIGI PELLIZZARI

Lo Studio Legale Pellizzari & Roncato è stato costituito nel 2001. L’avv. Luigi Pellizzari ha conseguito la laurea nel 1991 presso l’Università degli Studi di Padova ed è iscritto all’Albo dal 1994. Ha maturato la propria esperienza nell’ambito del diritto civile e svolge attività di consulenza e di assistenza a privati ed imprese, sia in ambito giudiziale che stragiudiziale, con particolare riferimento a questioni relative a proprietà e diritti reali, condominio, locazioni e sfratti, obbligazioni e contratti.

DAVIDE FURLAN

Davide Furlan, ha conseguito la laurea presso l’Università degli Studi di Padova nel 1998 ed è iscritto all’Albo dal 2002. Si occupa di diritto amministrativo e prevalentemente di contratti pubblici, servizi pubblici e società pubbliche, oltre che di edilizia, urbanistica e ambiente. Lo Studio presta assistenza e consulenza sia a Privati, principalmente operatori economici, sia alle Pubbliche Amministrazioni, anche in collaborazione con altri Professionisti, coniugando competenze in tutti gli ambiti del diritto amministrativo e in molti settori del diritto civile. Fiorenza Scagliotti, ha conseguito la laurea presso l’Università degli Studi di Padova nel 1988 ed è iscritta all’Albo dal 1991. Ha una consolidata esperienza nel campo del diritto amministrativo e ha sviluppato una specifica competenza nei settori dell’edilizia e dell’urbanistica, dell’ambiente, del commercio, delle espropriazioni, del pubblico impiego e della responsabilità erariale.
